Welcome Home to the San Juan Islands. The Archipelago consists of 172 islands, some only visible during extreme low tide, be on the look out boaters! Are you curious how to get to and around the islands? Washington State runs a ferry system departing from Anacortes, WA and a reservation is always recommended. Follow this link to see the Ferry Schedule for the Islands. Roughly 160 kilometers northwest of Seattle, the most frequently visited islands are the four with ferry service: Lopez, Orcas, San Juan and Shaw. The island group is know for world class whale watching, farm to table dinning, hiking, kayaking and all types of boating.
